Okay, I think I fixed the problems several others and I were having with MediaDirect when you reinstall it. First, use your screwed-up install of MediaDirect to get the patch, save it elseware, then after a clean install following all the instructions for partitioning, install MediaDirect using the provided disc, and use the patch you got previously BEFORE you do anything else with MediaDirect. I haven't had the problems again yet, but I never identified a direct cause. I'll tell you if I have the problems again, but I think they're gone.
