I just realized that if I use MediaDirect without booting into windows the USB ports are not powered so my USB headset doesn't work. It's a little disappointing, but just means I have to boot into windows if I want to use my headphones.

that might be part of getting longer battery life when using MediaDirect (Dell promotes it as a way to enhance battery life if you're just using the notebook to watch movies, listen to music). Still, good observation, I wonder if there's a way to change that though. I have USB powered speakers and would want to use them with such an application.

My bluetooth stays on though when I select media direct. I wonder if that means Dell's bluetooth headset will work in media direct? Has anyone tried to listen to their itunes yet through media direct?
