I'm about to format my new XPS M1530 and put XP on it.

If i keep the MediaDirect partition intact and don't touch it will it still work even though i've installed win xp?

If not i take it i have to do this :-

But just use my Win XP disc instead of the Vista one?

    Thanks.

You have to use the procedure you quoted if you want to keep Media Direct.
