    Hello!

I'm planning to upgrade my ram by buying 2x1GB at 667 mhz. Presently, I have a Dell Branded 1x1 GB. I'm thinking about buying non-dell memory. I looked at Kingston, Corsair, Crucial.. Does anyone can help me with their experience and knowledge, what brand has a good quality/price ratio. It's for gaming and eventually Vista ...

    Thank you!

P.S. I'm canadien, so forget about newegg :( .. Well, NICX is not so bad..

Corsair and Crucial are the better of the three you listed. Also you might try OCZ or G.Skill.
Kingston is pretty good and will probably be cheaper than the other brands.

    Thanks a lot :D

Maybe I could get G.skill ... I read a lot of people going with this brand. Does it worth the cost?

And I would need the model name to be sure its okay :p

No point in getting 667MHz. I you can get 533MHz cheaper, do so

G.Skill is not really avaible in Canada

Nothing on NCIX :( I hope that Newegg wil ship to Canada soon!!

I could have 2 DImm on ebay, but I can get 2 Crucial for less.. I'll probabbly go with Crucial

I always answer this question the same way... Buy the cheapest thing NewEgg has... If it don't work you just send it back and try something else. If they all have the same specs it makes no difference... it either works or it don't. By the way..I have the same machine (1505) with two OCZ PC2-5300 1 Gb SO-DIMMs (333 MHz) and it works just fine. It was the cheapest thing they had at the time. Used the same ones in my last Lenovo as well... No problems whatever.

As Canadians we don't have the luxury of the EGG. :( The original poster like myself is an Canadian so our options are a little slimmer. :(
