    Hi everyone,

I'm placing an order for a e1505 tomorrow and I will be buying my own 2GB's of ram through Newegg.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but should I order the 512 single channel ram with the system (to save money) or do I need to get the 512 DUAL channel ($65.00 more) since I will be installing 2GB of DUAL channel. I guess I'm just wondering why dell has those two options... is the MB different if you order single channel? Thanks!

MB is the same--they will install 2x256 for 512 in dual channel, or 512 in 1 dimm 1x 512 if you order single channel...Go for the cheapest option you can find.
