    Memory for 600M

    What kind of memory would I need to get for my 600m to upgrade it from 512 1Dimm to 1 Gig...I wanna buy it off somewhere like newegg so don't give me linsk to crucial, plus I don't understand their specs, etc.

    You're looking for DDR 333 memory because that's the fastest memory that the 600m will support. Prices are very low for this kind of memory now, so don't just limit yourself to online and take a look at the ads for the brick and mortar retailers (such as Office Max, CircuitCity, etc...).

    I find Crucial ( www.crucial.com) has a good memory chooser that is useful for determining what kind of a memory a system needs. I'm no necessarily recommending them to buy memory, it's just a useful tool since you get to choose by Make and Model and they keep the lists updated, while still having old machines.

    Personally, I used Crucial to figure out what kind of memory was needed (PC-whatever hundred) and then searched on newegg for the cheapest memory with a lifetime warranty.
