    Hi,
I started getting this memory parity error a few days back. To check if it was the ram I tried using both the dimms separately. With one of the dimms the computer wouldnt boot at all, the battery, power lights keep flashing and the only way to turn off the comp is to take out the battery. With the other dimm, the dell logo and windows boot logo have these lines around them, but on reaching the login screen everything seems fine, but the parity error comes randomly.

I ran the diagnostics and it gave me a LCD connection fail error code 0321. The diagnostics too had the messed up lines. I didnt complete the memory test though.
Is there any possibility that these two problems are connected?
I havent changed any drivers recently so am sure its not a driver problem.

    Any ideas?

I tried out direct x display tests. Direct 3d 8 and 9 failed cause there was like a triangle instead of the cube. Am guessing it should be the gfx card.
