Hi,
I checked my 6400's memory, its from SUMSUNG. Can I upgrade my memory with different brand? Will it suit my 6400? I am afraid if DELL systemboard would have any problem with other memory brand. Does anyone have experience on memory upgrade?
Any inputs will be helpful. Thank you all in advance!

Yes you can use any brand memory as long as the type is compatible with your notebook. Dell accessories tend to be overpriced so look elsewhere for better bargains.

Branding doesn't matter as long as it is the same kind. The e1505 uses standard DDR2 RAM.
This site has good explanations and pricing. http://www.edgetechcorp.com/memory/upgrade.asp?cid=31026
Dell sells a 1 GB stick for $139. That site sells it for $79. -
Thanks for the inputs!!!
I have better idea right now. Yeah, I saw dell overpriced the memories, so I think I have to look for other brands.
Which brand do you guys think is better?
Thanks! -
mfmbcpman thanks for that link!

Thank you anyway! -
