    Full error message:
Memory write/read failure at 00020040, read 02ED4AED expecting 02ED02ED. To resolve this issue, try to reseat the memory.

I am unable to get past this screen. Windows will not launch. Inserting OS disc triggers no response.

My Dell support has expired. I do not know how to check for faulty memory chips.

Hoping someone can offer some suggestions. Thanks for your help.

Try reseat the memory, by taking them out and putting them back. If it does not help try taking one out and try to start the computer with just one module. Than try the other one.

As above but try each of your ram in each memory slot one at a time..
