I ordered a Dell XPS M1210 refurbished 2 weeks ago and just saw the news that merom was out. Now, i was wondering. since i was still under the 21 day return period, could i send it in and upgrade my cpu? if so, would it be for free? also, i have some cosmetic damages that need to be taken care of. i was hoping to get this all done at once. so, if anyone had this kind of experience with dell, it would be great if you could help. thanks in advance

I dont think Dell wouldnt do it for free, since its a new CPU.

i called in today and they said they are sending a replacement. i asked about the upgrade but they said a replacement has to be exact same.. im guessin there is no chance ill open it up to find any upgrades? if i were to buy a core 2 duo, and install it myself, would it void the warranty? thanks

I'd chat with them and ask them... I doubt it would be free though.
