    Aargh! Last problem, I promise...

So I have all the drivers and everything totally fine now after the reformate, but the microphone port does not work. I've tried to go into volume control and do something but it appears everything is fine. Under hardware manager, it seems everything is working, there are no yellow ! marks. My sound works perfect so, I'm not sure if those are related.

Just pluggin in the mic into the mic port does nothing. CS doesn't recognize it, nor does voice recorder program.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

what laptop do you have? There isn't a microphone driver as far as I know. It just uses the standard XP driver.

Oh sorry, I have the E1505. If it uses winxp drivers, any reason it shouldn't work?
