    i just watched a you tube video and if you watch when he sets the 1720 on top of the 1520 you can cleary see the lid gets closer together i guess thats the way they are?? ill try to find the link to the vid i just watched.. it towards the end..

    rattles like crazy though.. just annoys me i guess.. i have never seen a laptop with a lid as loose as this ... the toshiba im typing on now is super tight.. i just finished repairing a hp and that to was nice and tight... no movement at all not even a little bit

    Mine does it, too. Very poor latching design; doesn't seem to be a "defect", per se.
