    My 1720

Debating on name, right now it's Pickles :D

Originally got a Sager NP5790 but sent it because the fans were driving me crazy. So went back to original plan to get an Inspiron. This is my second laptop and second dell. I also have an Inspiron 8600.

Reason for buying: Needed a computer that would actually run Photoshop. I used my 8600 to its full potential : ) …. I’ve had 3 hard drives, 3 cd-dvd drives, 3 power cords, 2 batteries, 2 motherboards, and also had the casing replaced, the hinges were about to break off.

    My computer:

Weight: Not heavy at all. My Inspiron 8600 is heavier than this computer and it’s a 15.4”. I’ll go to a scale eventually and weigh them.

    Heat and Noise:
Normal sounds you get from a Dell. Same about of noise from my 8600.
Gets kind of hot. Works great as a heater. Also the power cord gets hot :D

Screen is great. First thing I tried out was Serenity. Looked great.

Speakers are decent. Logitech V10 speakers, powered by usb, got them to use when I am at school. And Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi, I will test it out later this week, I still need to add music.

Webcam is really cool. Has a lot of options.

***More Picutres ... I got lazy and didn't edit them :p

Overall really happy with the computer. Glad I didn't get black, though red or maybe if there were a dark green. :D :D Going to play Bioshock sometime tonight, got distracted by Knocked Up and Reno 911: Miami :D

Since burkle and I had the same experience, I can tell you that althought the sager is a great laptop for its price, it is also very loud. Some people here think it is not true (but they refused to publish a video to proof it), but I assure you it can make you crazy. Here you ca see my ex laptop (I sent it back immediately).
Just listen to it in a silent enviroment at the beginning ad at minus 24 sec.
The constant sound on the background is the videocam.

Please: now don't start again a discussion about the sager here since it is a thread about the beautiful and SILENT Inspiron.
