Ok so i received my 1420 about a week ago...I had an E1405 however i broke the touchpad :( ...Overall i'm extremely satisfied with the 1420...it is just as good as the E1405 if not better.

    Here are some pictures:

Coming from XP, Vista does take some getting used to...but after i messed around with it for a while i actually like it better. Essentially its a visual upgrade from XP, but its nice. Keyboard is great, performace is excellent. I don't really use the speakers b/c i have the logitech x230's which are amazing & only $40. After playing with Windows DVD Maker for a while i finally figured out how to import movies (need codecs) & i have to say its very simple yet is full of features...it makes its own scene selection menu and makes its own scenes which is really cool...on the menu screen it plays small clips from parts of the movie in the background which is sickk...i used to use NERO but not anymore :D

The ONLY negative is the placement of the USB ports & headphones port...as you can see from my pics the wires are everywhere :(

    any questions, comments, post em.

2 headphones jack are for when 2 people are watching a movie together on the laptop. It's the convience factor for not having to use a dual-port adapter I guess.. But I, too, would rather see one in the front and one on the rear for external speakers.
