I just ordered a Mini (actually got it for free with my 1730wow purchase) - its the base model w/1.3 webcam and BT. I plan to up the ram but wondering if XP and Office 2k3 will fit on this with the stock 4GB hard drive? I really only plan to use this for RDP over HTTP (Exchange) - using Outlook.

From what I can tell the 16GB Drives are not available or not available at a reasonable cost so if I can't fit XP and 2k3 then I'll need to change my mini order - and add the 16GB for 70 bucks more.

What about Xbuntu/Ubuntu? small install space, very light on system resources, comes with openOffice.org. just a thought?

It comes with Ubuntu - problem is that I'm not aware of being able to run Outlook on it --- Per my post I will be using the mini for RDP over HTTP (exchange) - so I"ll need Outlook 2k3 at least.

Well - since the SSD drives are hard to come by at a reasonable price I changed my Mini order - from 4GB to a 16GB to ensure I have enough space for XP, Office 2k3 etc....
