I've been eyeing the Mini 9 for a while, but really can't find a good justification for pulling the trigger on one. I was wondering what other people use theirs for? Can it handle a Power Point presentation? Does it have enough entertainment value to keep you from getting bored on a long flight?

I have the Mini 9, I use it for Internet usage, listening to music, etc. It's more for the portability when I don't want to take my lappy with me.

I really enjoy it. And, I know there are other Mini 9 owner who have used the Mini 9 for the uses you are asking! :D

    Cin ;) :)

classes... i just got bored of carrying around 6 pounds of pure laptop + 2 pounds of the bag + .. + .. + ..., instead i just carry a 2 pounds notebook with a really extra miny ac adapter which is weightless and copy everything (it is a little hard to get used to kboard but.. hey! thats life :) )

btw.. i plugged the trigger when they cut off 50 bucks ( it was 214 after taxes) really cheap imo

I just bought a netbook, not a Dell :( but mainly for "laptop" use. I have the 1520 for use still, but that mainly is a portable desktop type of deal where I do my virtualization and stuff like that.

The netbook I plan on taking class to take notes, use outlook, etc. The other one will be used for gaming, virtual machines.

I've only had it since yesterday, but it's great for sitting here and browsing the internet while watching TV

I bought one for s and giggles, and also for my gf to take to school to take notes on.
So far we've just used it for s and giggles.

I haven't done anything with it that i couldn't do with my 14lb m7700, though the mini has 3-4 times the battery life.

It's really fun to be able to take it around that easily though.

Are you the MyDellMini pimp? It seems like a lot of your threads reference that site when this information is easily accessed on NBR by using the search box.

And to top it off you are rude.

My apologies. Honestly, I wasn't trying to be rude. I was agreeing with Cin.

I often read both forums (here and mydellmini) and if I see a question here that I've seen a solution or discussion already going on at mydellmini I just provide the link. Same as when another user here asked non Dell SSD drives I posted links to Runcore and Crucial. I have no affiliation with MydellMini nor do I favor it over this site. I like them both.

If it is improper for me to provide links to other sites I will stop. Honestly, I was just trying to be helpful.
