On dell.com today they have the base model mini-9 for $200.

I noticed in the newspaper yesterday that someone had the Mini9 for $300 with XP, 1Gg, 8Gb. I was thinking it was Bestbuy but might have been OfficeMax or somebody like that. While on dell.com just now I noticed that their price for the XP version is also $300.

I was actually considering getting the $199 Mini 9 from Dell, but the fact that it's got Ubuntu pre-installed kinda put me off.

The ubuntu is really pretty nice if you don't need to use windows specific programs.
I played with one that i got for my gf's mom, i really rather enjoyed it.
If i hadn't discovered that Morrowind runs quite decently on the xp mini9 i'd have switched to ubuntu.
