On the Dell website there is a big rebate for this. Does anybody have this package, or maybe even ATT service with a PC card? I think it would be real convenient to have, although at $60/month still relatively expensive for what I would use it for.

If you're gonna use the heck out of the broadband its a good deal. Otherwise you're paying like 1700 dollars for a 300 dollar netbook...

As for the broadband, i dont have it per se, but I use a 3G HUSPA phone (samsung epix) as a modem once in a while and its pretty fast when you're in a good solid 3g area, if your borderline its so so, and in edge its like isdn to good dialup fast at best...

I have an Epix. Do you have the standard data plan or do you pay extra for tethering? Do you connect to the phone by wire or by bluetooth?

I have the standard PDA personal unlimited, your not supposed to be able to tether with it, and its locked out on the phone, but there are some registry edits that can be done on the phone to unlock it to change things around. As shipped it uses the ISP.whatever server that only works if you have a tethering plan, but you can change it to use the WAP.whatever server instead. There's information on howardforums.com about it (just search tethering epix) or I can dig up the threads if you can't find it. Keep in mind using it too much will get you kicked off your data plan though.

USB though I think BT will work just the same once you've done the hack.
