Hello to all in the Dell forums.

I read an article where a go7800gtx was fitted into a Dell M70.
Now before you flame me or start telling me im an idiot etc, lemme explain.

Being a university student (engineering) i began to wonder if the same mod would be available for the M60 and go6800??

The M60 has a decent quadro fx go700/go1000 video card. However, if I were to somehow get a go6800 would they be compatible?? The reason for the M60 is the size 15.4", the WSXGA+/WUXGA+ LCDs and the rest of the specs which are more than enuf for me. the only thing im kinda skeptical about is the video card.

I understand that Dell doesnt use MXM or AXIAM, but rather a blend of it..for their own in house modular graphics system.

Please any comments/advice would be awesome.

    Isn't the 7800GTX already in the M170? o_O

Or, do you mean the 7900GTX?

actually in my original post, I am not refering to the XPS M170, but rather Dells mobile workstation laptop called the Precision M70.

The Precision models have everything I need. The only thing is the video card is kinda weaker than what I would like.
