Most of the people here should already know about laptopvideo2go, about modded nvidia drivers for laptop.

    [XPS M1530 8600MGT GDDR3 Stock 475/702

recently I found that if i use modded driver, tried 169.09, 175.70 175.75,

169.09, if overclocked to 562/846 with rivatuner 2.08, great performance i got, but there is a problem, (before it still works without any problem with the overclocked clock, but recently,if i'm playing games like Vegas 2, Team Fortress 2 for an half hour to 2 hours, it freezed, and turn to blackscreen, for a minute, afterwards it recovered back to game, the clock dropped to powersave clock like 200/300 or 100/618, and it 's fixed, the gameplay became lag,

If i exit the game return to windows, it shows me a balloon tip
"The Display driver has stopped working.... has been recovered"

the fixed low clock problem wont go away unless i restart my computer once.

anyone got similiar problem like this?

for driver 175.70, the problem is the same with the 169.09.

for driver 175.75, it might crashes and turns to BSOD say something like dump memory and error reports.( even no OC, it still crash)

Only 169.09 and 175.70 if I didn't do change to the stock clock(no OC), it works fine with stock clocks.

Currently I'm using Dell's 153.xx driver, no problem..

[[I never overclock over than 562/846, that's my highest Oc clock]]
idle temp 56, Full load temp 78

Is that the modded driver problem? or my 8600MGT GDDR3 problem?

    The Question for Rivatuner 2.09,

    I have a problem on using rivatuner 2.09, on 169.09 175.70 175.75 drivers,
if i overclock my GPU more than 520Mhz, the GPU clock dropped to 100Mhz,
But If i go back to rivatuner 2.08, it works fine..

    Anyone has the same problem?

Yeah don't trust Riva tuner for reading clocks correctly. I GPU-Z does a great job of it.

    actually, the clock's real,
my game is lagging , running at 100mhz gpu clock

what i meant is the problem with rivatuner 2.09 overclock adjustor

it doesnt work well, drag over 520mhz become 100mhz

I'm overclocked 625/525 and peaked at 64C. Does anyone think I have room to OC more?

Actually the clock is not real.... At least whatever Riva Tuner displays that is. Now I am not saying that you do not have a problem. But don't trust what Rivatuner is telling you.

It is still good for Logging Temps, and OC'ing. Whatever you set on the sliders is actually what your clocks get set to. Rivatuner just errors and reporting them.

Oh and I wish it would do a little bit better of logging your temps. But check out GPU-Z (just came out with a new version too).

squall I just noticed what you are talking about with the "drag the slider over 520 and it becomes 100". Again it actually doesnt. I just did some more tests, 3dmark, etc.... And my scores go up with a higher core clock, even tho Rivatuner is reporting it to be 100. Also you did notice that at no OC, Rivatuner reports your core clock to be like 516 (or something close) didn't you? That should be a first clue that it does not report core clocks correct.

That's a pretty awesome OC. I wouldn't push it much further.
