    I want to buy dell xps m1330.But the sales person at dell told me give my credit card details over the phone to her which i guess is not the right way.

    So how have you guys paid for for your order.

    I sent a cheque, but I believe giving DELL Credit Card details over the phone won't cause any problems.

    If u r worried about giving ur card details over phone......just send them a cheque (pref a "payable at par") OR DD or PO......simple.

    What Crap.....why? .... PPL work for Dell.... havent u gone over newspaper reports of employees of other "respected" MNC defrauding pplafter getting their credit card details over phone...?

    .... be safe..... if u have 3 or 4 dys extra...send them a cheque....

    Thanks all for ur replies.Well if i send them a cheque do i have to write the order no behind the cheque....coz the sales person didt say anyting like tht...quite lazy and unprofessional sales team they have...

    If you send them a cheque it will add to their bumbling efforts to clear the cheque etc. Send them a DD 'payable at Bangalore' and make it foolproof from your side.

    you can give cc number, and depending on your bank, no phone transactions are done, unless you call up the bank and authorise the payment. thats what i did.
