I know years ago when I purchased my last Dell (1999) that if the price of my system went down within 30 or 60 days, that I was able to get back the difference. Is anything like that still goin on? I recieved my Dell on Nov 1 and it is now $150 cheaper plus they are giving a $200 GC with purchase. Is it possible to get Dell to honor this deal and get credit back? Or am i out of luck?

It is entirely possible. If they refuse, ask them to take their laptop back and tell them you'll be ordering again.

Although I see that you have received the laptop, so I don't know. The users who are waiting for their laptops, have every right to ask for money back, as the price went down before they got their laptop.

I think its prolly worth the shot. If they say no, I can always try to return it and just reorder the thing. In my mind the $300+ is worth the effort. We'll see....

Yes, you can send it back and ask for a full-refund and order it again (they'll probably give you credit there and then instead of taking it back), I meant is it fine morally to ask for it since you've already received it?

Well, I wasn't able to get that money back so I decided to do a return. Its gonna cost be $10 to ship it back, but considering what I'm getting instead, i'll be worth it. My new system's config is this:

    Dell 1520
    T7500
    WSXGA
    120 gig HD
    1 gig RAM
    8600m GT
    Audigy Soundcard
    Intel Pro Wireless
    BT and Webcam
    9 cell battery
    4 years CC w/accidental

All for $1130 and roughly $250 less than my other system (see sig) I think I got a great deal! Oh, and my 200 gig HD and 2 gigs of RAM are staying with me.

How are your hard-disk and RAM staying with you? You're not sending them back?
