    I'm just wondering how long it takes dell to update models when a new platform is being launched. I need to buy a laptop before the end of this summer. Also, while I know this will be just pure speculation, I was wondering if people are expecting an graphics card update and if so, what card do you think it would be (9500, 9650, 9700, etc.)?

    Dell will probably have new laptops ready at Montevina's launch, but not ship them until July/August. As for graphics cards I think:

    XPS 13": 9400GS/Intel GMA 4500
    Inspiron/Vostro 14": 9500G/Intel GMA 4500
    XPS 15": 9500GS/9600GT/Intel GMA 4500
    Inspiron 17": 9650GT/Intel GMA 4500
