    I just got my 1420 this morning and took some pictures. I know there are already pictures posted.. but this is just in case people still want to see more.

    I have to go somewhere soon for the rest of the morning and afternoon, but I may do some updates after I get back. Need to do a fresh install of vista first.

    when did you first order the system? You seem to have identical specs to my system and my shpping date isnt till' the 10th of august

    My ship date was August 9th, I just called to check on order status it has been sent to the carrier. No tracking # avaliable yet.

    It took an entire day for the tracking number to show up for the site. It didn't give me one till it arrived in Tn from Malaysia so you should be getting your laptop soon :).

    Its Windows Vista Home Premium. Straight out of the box, I didn't mess w/ any of the settings yet (except I was looking at the power options at the time I took that picture)

    1440x900. I'm really glad I got that resolution too. After seeing it I'm pretty sure any less would have made me feel uncomfortable.

    I'll be posting updates as I go along. Other people have probably already did this but I'll just give my experiences w/ the 1420.

    the 1440x900 resolution to me is perfect for this sized screen. I was worried that it may be too small as I run the same resolution on my 19" widescreen monitor, but even on a 14" it didn't bother me.

    Fresh install of Vista dropped total running processes from 75+ to 33. Yay for bloatware.
