My XPS Gen 2 is comin tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!!
AND IM GANNA BE AT WORK !!!!!!!
Is it OK if my 14 year old kid signs the package from the UPS people ?

I don't see it being a problem.

I'm was 15 ( 16 now!!) and i always signed for my packages. So its not a big deal. Congrats on ur new laptop.

The real issue is whether you can convince the kid into not opening and playing with your new XPS2 while you're at work. Money is a reliable way to influence teenage behavior.
Congrats!! -
As long as the delivery guy knows that you live there, then you should be fine. Worst case scenario, he'll leave a slip, and you can pick up on wed at the warehouse or have it redelivered... I don't think that will happen. I think as long as someone is there to sign, you'll be fine.

oh yeah, those UPS delivery folks want to unload the package if they possibly can and they'll let your dog sign it if it's been trained. Sadly the package scanner isn't big enough for a paw print as a signature.
-
yah... further confirmation.... UPS/Fedex/DHL don't give a flip who signs as long as there's some human (or dog apparently) makes some kind of mark.

shouldnt be a problem. just dont tell him what it is...

As long is there is someone (or something in the dog's case) there to take the package, any delivery service will happily turn the package over to that person. I have had to sign for a number of packages for my father, some of which were shipped with a highly dangerous chemical warning because he works in medical sales, and the deliverer person didn't even check to see if it was even the signer who was receiving the dangerous chemical product from him. So go ahead and let you son sign, I'd be more worried about him taking it out and playing while youre at work more than anything else.

I see big problems, really really big problems....
getting the machine away from your kid. You may have to buy two. -
Did your new toy arrive?
How do you like it?
Did the kid run away with it?
