If that was funny, sample this...

"Have you ever been arrested of convicted for any offense or crime, even through subject of a pardon, amnesty or other similar legal action? Have you ever unlawfully distributed or sold a controlled substance (drug), or been a prostitute or procurer for prostitutes?

    [...]

Did you seek to enter the United States to engage in export control violations, subversive or terrorist activities, or any other unlawful purpose? Are you a member or representative of a terrorist organization as currently designated by the U.S. Secretary of State? Have you ever participated in persecutions directed by the Nazi government or Germany; or have you ever participated in genocide?"

    http://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2006/09/us_visa_applica.html

This is from the US VISA application form.... and there are similar in immigration forms too!! and not to forget the questions they actually ask in the immigration counter while entering US!!! Anyways...

And even I had to sign a declaration form here while paying for my laptop here with Dell...

What is Dell doing is backing up their asses, they are trying to avoid any weapon or bomb creation with the computer, therefore if you say that you will use it they will not sell it to you.

I doubt anyone who planned on using the laptop for those reasons would answer "yes" to that question...

It reminds me of my sister's neighbor, who was on a business trip and decided to be a smart *** when they ask if anyone has asked you to carry a bag on the plane for them. He spent some time in FBI custody for that stunt.

That's like being at the post office to mail off something, and being asked "are you transporting any hazardous biological or chemical agents"? Seriously I wanted to let my sarcastic side take over, but don't want to get into trouble.
It's just stupid. Of course if anyone attempted to, they wouldn't say it!! It's just dumb, why even bother asking?
But that Dell question just takes the cake. I guess we can thank our new partners in the intelligence community, Dell, for helping protect us!!
Watch out or the Dell suits will come knocking on your door!! :D :D
