    Most portable and powerful laptop?

    I know it's generally a trade off between portability and power but I have looked at the Dell 8600 Centrino and I like it but it's too heavy! Can I get a similarly powered system that is lighter?
    The Dell 600M is light but not very powerful!
    There must be something in the middle

    If you have money to burn....

    The 1420 is a good compromise between size, performance and cost :D .

    The Vostro 1400 is in the absolute sweet spot of the performance/value/portability equation.

    the 1400 and 1420 are the thickest 14'1 laptops on the market, they almost dont fall into the portable category but they are definitely powerful.
