Hi Im having a bit of a problem with my motorola ht820 bluetooth headset.. so I just received this item this morning from ebay supposedly brand new, well Im tying to use this item with my dell e1705 with a toshiba stack driver V.4.00.22(D) and a logitech v270 bluetooth mice but when I finish connecting the headset my mouse started to move very slowly but I was able to remedy that by reconnecting my mice w/ the laptop.

So my question is this does the ht820's play, skip backwards, skip forward and pause works with windows media player??? because the only buttons that work on my ht820 when im listening to media player is the volume up and down, and also it seems like I easily loose connection within a couple of feet and some times when im right in front of my laptop but it auto connects after half a minute or so..

I would really appreciate if anyone could give me some comparison with your bluetooth headphone if the same problem persist on all BT headphones or if I was just received a broken item or do I just need to use a different stack driver??

    thnx.

If the ht820 has the right specs (and i think it does) you should be able to control more than the volume. first thing to do is check your laptop BT settings and configuration to make sure you have those features enabled...for example under "options" you probably have to check "av remote control" and under a different options tab you select the device to be controlled...

i can't remember if the ht820 is properly spec'd...i don't think its BT Spec 2.0 but rather 1.2 or 1.1...might make a difference in operating efficiency...i was all hot to buy a BT headset until i started reading reviews and couldn't find one that didn't have what for me was a significant shortcoming

i can't think of anything that might help...i've always had crappy luck with motorola bt devices wrt this issue...the kensington bt mouse i use works effectively distance wise well away from the laptop...try exchanging it for a different headset if you can before giving up...personally i'm going to wait until someone comes out with a BT version 2.0 headset
