I was using my laptop (D600). And my mouse stopped working, it just would not move from the center of my screen. I am not sure what is wrong with it, thanks for the help in advance.

Are you using the touchpad, pointer stick in the keyboard, or an external mouse?

When you check out Device Manager, are there any exclamation or question marks?

mouse and touchpad are different animals, do the buttons work?, or is the whole device unresponsive? If nothing works I would tend to think its a driver issue,or a connection cable is loose or shorted out, if the buttons work, but the touchpad doesnt, and drivers dont fix it, the pad itself might be toast, and you will need a replacement, or use a mouse
