I have a Latitude D600 running XP Pro. I want to turn off the tap-to-click feature on the mouse pad. There is not box to uncheck anywhere in the mouse or pointer settings.
I have installed a new driver (older one) in the hopes of finding that elusive box so i can check or un-check it but i have had no luck.

    Please help!
    Thanx.

you shoul be using synaptics software. go to mouse settings, select device settings tab from right (should be marked with a red logo) click settings\tapping and uncheck enable tapping box :)

Thanks for your reply but there is no such box on the tab with the red logo. I have attempted to attach a screenshot.
