I have a Latitude D600 running XP Pro. I want to turn off the tap-to-click feature on the mouse pad. There is not box to uncheck anywhere in the mouse or pointer settings.
I have installed a new driver (older one) in the hopes of finding that elusive box so i can check or un-check it but i have had no luck.
Please help!
Thanx.

you shoul be using synaptics software. go to mouse settings, select device settings tab from right (should be marked with a red logo) click settings\tapping and uncheck enable tapping box

Thanks for your reply but there is no such box on the tab with the red logo. I have attempted to attach a screenshot.

Hi-
My name is John, and I work at Dell headquarters.
You may have the wrong drivers installed. Download and install these instead: http://support.dell.com/support/dow...1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=17&fileid=149404
Restart, go into the mouse properties in the control panel, and in the Touch Pad tab, uncheck the Tapping box at the top left.
Let me know if that works!
MousePad Tap-to-click wont shut off!
