    This is what I get for not checking this forum more often - this is the first I've read about this. If any other XPS M1710 owners confirm this is a issue - please post.

    I don't have time to review all the info in the other thread right now but will post a followup once I have gone over it.

    The only thing I want to know is what is the difference between PerfEnablePackageIdle set to 0 vs 1?

    I also searched the registry changes on Google and it said that I also need to fix QueryPerformanceCounter in order to utilize the dual core functions of my CPU.
