    Hello all

I would be really grateful if someone could offer some help please! Apologies if I have posted this in the wrong place.

I recently reformatted my Dell Inspiron 1525 with the discs which came with the CPU. I thought I had reinstalled all drivers but have experienced a couple of problems:

    Problem 1)
I appear to have two versions if Vista installed. When I turn on the laptop I am asked which I would like to load. How have I managed this? Obviously I would like to get rid of one of them. Please could someone point me in the direction of some help with that one?

    Problem 2)
Slightly less pressing, but I cant get the wireless card to work. It is a Dell WLAN 1395 and I have finally suceeded in finding what appears to be the correct driver. However, in the device manager I get the message 'the device could not start - code 10'. Does anyone have any thoughts?

I would be ever so grateful if you could help!

    Thank you

    1) Not really sure how this actually came about. If you don't mind, try refomatting the whole drive once more, then reinstall Vista again.

    2) Get the rest of your drivers off the Dell Support site.

    Thank you for the suggestions.
I have tried reinstalling vista again, but I still have the same problem. Also, the drivers are the ones from the official site but I cant seem to get it to work.

Did you format your drive before reinstalling ? Or you just reinstall Vista over Vista ? If so, then it is normal to see 2 OS available in the boot. You can choose which one you want by default in the system properties, and uncheck the option to show the OS choice.

    2) Are you sure that your WLAN card is a 1325 ? Just wondering because I've seen the 1505 WLAN card more often. Have you tried others drivers ?

Also did you change any option in the BIOS ? If so I suggest to put back the default settings, and try again.

    Hope this help.
