You ordered it on the 29th of June?! Did you call Dell to find out what's going on? They can give you huge compensations for the extreme delays...

Yesterday on the phone order status it said no information was available, it just just gone through testing then boxing so I called and the lady on the phone said "oh it probably just shipped already" so I told her that didn't sound right so she checked the ID number and said "oh it's the 1330, that's been delayed" after she just lied to me about it being shipped. I asked for a supervisor, and the supervisor said that she would call the manufacturing company to find out the delay, she came back and said it was closed but she'd call back on monday night for an update.....basically im screwed.

That's too bad. Don't waste your time waiting for Dell to call you back though...I doubt they will. It is unfortunate, Dell has managed to disappoint ALOT of folks that needed their lappys for school and such with their huge back order delays I think almost all lappys from the XPS to Inspirions are back ordered for months...unfortunatly, I am in the same boat as you.

Chances are you will get it before school starts cause they are ramping up production in the next week. We have a huge 1330 thread going on this site that you should check out .

Oh I read it all the time every day, I even post in it occasionally and I read the Dell2Dell blog. I called again and the woman gave me slight reassurance, she said that even though the date is 9/4 that it probably won't take that long, she said as soon as the part comes in they'll put it on my laptop and ship it right away so that gave me some slight relief I guess.

Not to rain on your parade, but they tell that to everyone. Next thing you know, you are getting a delay after being in production for a month. CSR have little to no impact on how fast computers get out. They can only change shipping options.

You need to let your fustration out on them and threaten to cancel if anything just go with another company, make a plan B, as you need your laptop for college, and that is just rediculas that you can't get your laptop to this date, so start looking at other companys

Demand some compensation. You should be able to get at least $200 off! Just speak to a supervisor when you call.

You have to let some of your anger and annoyance bleed through when you're talking to them. I had to reorder my laptop and it took a little over 2 hours because I was put on hold so much, the rep I was speaking to didn't know what he was doing, plus he was trying to sell me stuff that I didn't want. I'm glad my cell phone had a full charge, I would've been pissed if I had lost the call. Since that happened, my order got pushed back to the 17th, but I go back to school on the 16th. In any case, they upgraded my order to free next day shipping and the CSR said he put in a rush order and he'd be calling back on the 14th with an update on the laptop. He might've been blowing smoke up my ass, but my shipping was indeed upgraded, so I'll just have to wait and see if he calls back.

They did the same to me earlier in the week.

I went from an 8/22 esd to 9/12 all because they wanted to give me a free bag that i did not want.

I didn't get one phone call to acknowledge if i wanted this change or not. I have been thinking about calling in to find out what the hell and complain but honestly i don't think i have the energy to deal with the csr merry-go-round they are going to put me on.

What i have been doing the last week is looking at other viable options instead of the m1330. The new asus notebooks coming out are looking decent even though they aren't customizable.

I hate when orders take this long. Doubt starts to creep in and with all they rumblings so far about cpu whines and unreliable eject buttons. I really don't know.

Is there a way I can find out which part is delaying my laptop then just change it to make it arrive sooner?
