I randomly check my order status to see the progress of my build. Just yesterday, my M1330 was still in production and I found that the 4rd order number for my M1330 has been shipped. I thought CDN M1330 are being shipped from Ontario. There is no information of where the shipment is coming from.
I hope they haven't messed up again their information again but if I receive my M1330 (what I ordered), I will be very surprised.

So here is my story after reading many.....
With my delivery date in September it was really annoying me, but today on a whim I decided to check with a CSR to see how it was going.
Anyway it was a quick and simple question, "Whats the stats of my order" and after giving up all my information, she went to check on my order and said this "Thank you for your patience, Robert. The previous delay on your system has been resolved and it is currently being built at our manufacturing facility. The order is estimated to ship within 2-3 days and delivery is estimated between 5-8 business days. If you'd like, I can update you via e-mail once the order ships." She also went on to say that the build is in the final stages of production and is ready to move to testing.
Previous to this, only a day or so ago, I called in and talked to a CSR, all they could say is that there is a 15 day delay and that the LED screens were the problem. Obviously they got a shipment in eariler then expected and have continued to build a batch of laptops.
This means that people in Southern Ontario, there is a large shipment of m1330 laptops comming soon! WOOOOO!
Finally, it seems in Canada its hard to talk a CSR into getting compensation for long wait times, they would rather you cancel and lose the business, then to give anything free up. I tried with 5 different CSR reps and i got no free stuff. -
Another July 25th order?? July? Not June? Why isn't my order shipping then!! lol... argg...
I have tried emailing the CSR but they are not returning my emails. I don't have time to sit on the phone this week and I'm sick of speaking to them, so I guess I'll try to give them a call Friday night.
Is it the guys in India who are telling you guys this stuff? -

Mine is on its way as well (live in Ottawa). They said the shipment is from Austin, Texas via Canada through Purolator. I have a tracking number, but it doesn't work yet on the purolator website.

1. Ordered Jun 28 - T7300, LED w/camera, bluetooth, fingerprint...... Est. Ship Aug 17.
2. Problem Jul 23 - bluetooth not in system... I asked to remove from my order to avoid delay. Revised Order with bluetooth remove but I get this 320-5592 SLIM LCD, BLK W/O CAMERA M1330. I call to my rep and ask for explanation (complain).
2. Problem Jul 24 - 320-5583 13.3 WXGA TL WLED LCD,W/CAMERA added to order but fingerprint reader now has been removed. I call and ask for explanation from someone else (could have been Superivisor but I didn't ask for one??). He listens to my RANT about removing options from my order (no price adjustment either).
3. Update Jul 25 - I receive a call from a new rep. My original order has been cancelled and replaced. I receive my order confirmation the fingerprint and bluetooth have returned but 320-5591 SLIM LCD, BLK W/ CAMERA M1330. I call my rep back to confirm that I will receive my LED and he assures me that I will. Est. Ship Sep. 10
4. Jul 25---> reading and complaining on Notebookreview.com forum every since.
5. Ship Aug 1 - I find out under new order number that the computer has shipped.
6. Aug 2 - waiting to see if I get a LED screen... --> back to 3
I ordered the LED w/ camera (is there an option w/o??) not LCD but flameko of this forums assures that I will be receiving my LED screen -
yep mine shipped on july 31st purolator to canada. The CSR i spoke with sadi it would be coming from Austin Texas to Calgary for me since im in west coast. Right now it says transit in US also, I should get real tracking number when it arrives in canada. I cant wait to get it next week!

I'm in Toronto. Ordered with LED screen and fingerprint reader. I'm hoping that the reports about the poor build quality and lacklustre screens are isolated and not indicative of the entire shipment.

I had this problem also, but I spent hours on the phone with many dell reps talking to them about this. What i learned is that the slim lcd blk w/camera is the LED screen, so there is nothing to worry about.
I know it very confusing but the LED screen is part lcd, hence the name slim lcd. -
Okay so I'm in a similar boat except I ordered July 5th.. it got cancelled and reordered a few times, with the latest being the 26th... hmm but someone above ordered on the 6th... this is madness!
Hopefully mine ships soon... phoning Dell tomorrow night either way. I'll tell them I'll be writing a letter to Dell if I don't like what I hear, at which point they will say, "thank you sir. I'm sorry sir. Sir, thank you for ordering Dell. Is there anything else I can help you with, sir?" And then I will go insane. -

i'm in literally the same boat as you Matt ordering in the beginning of July and having it get cancelled with a reorder.
I've been calling to check the status all week and they've continually told me that it would ship by August 13th... i called again today and theres apparently a backorder on "the laptop itself not the components" (im assuming chalisis (sp?)) and that there would be a 15-20 business day delay... something about my laptop being ready to ship in September ><
grr... im leaving for UW on August 31st too (for RCC) =/ through all this i was hoping to at least get a concession coupon or SOMETHING but nothing (but then again i called to check the 'status of delivery' through the phone so they might not have been authorized...
bah i'm gonna call my rep this weekend =/
i expected a delay but not ANOTHER backorder + delay... i dont mind waiting as long as the machine isnt rushed but september seems like bs considering how i ordered in early july while other people (who ordered it significant later than me) are getting it already
i envy the people who are getting theirs soon -
I am also from canada I ordered on July 24 with an original ship date of Sept. 7 but I checked today and it said that it shipped Aug. 1 so I should see it next week.

U are not alone Matt.... I have had several cancellations as well...my thoughts though, use them to your advantage. Call and express yourself politely and ask them to consider some comps for you.

The India guys won't do any compensation. I plan to write a letter like you said if they don't ship it within the next few days. I also plan to write a letter either way just to express my disappointment and to tell them I won't be recommending Dell to anyone anymore. I don't expect anything for the letter. I just want them to know they've lost a supporter. Hopefully that'll reach the right person to let them know they screwed up this launch for a lot of people.

WOW... i talked to three different people through dell chat (asking the same questions) and i got 3 totally different answers

Dell has different priorities in complaints; hard copy sent to that address takes priority over internet complaint. -

I am glad Dell is doing the "under-promise, over-deliver" routine. I had already accepted the original ship date in Sep. -

Just to give others hope, I received my m1330 on Friday, Aug 3 at 11am. I'm really enjoying it - it was worth the wait. Of course, I wish I didn't have to wait in the first place, but it's everything I hoped it would be, and I am not disappointed.
