    My Dell 1558 is just to bright and causing me eye strain!

    I have just got my Dell 1585 today and I am shocked I can not make it any less brighter that the default options is has by pressing F4

    Its still bright and hurts my eyes with so many sites like google, with bright screens.

    I take it there is nothing I can do here ?

    Did you press Fn+F4? LED-backlit screens tend to be fairly bright, I have my screen turned down to about 80%.

    you may have to invest in some good sunglasses.
