Hey guys I thought I would share my last two weeks with you guys about my expierence with Dell.

Last Monday I talked to dell about how my computer was overheating. Instead of them bringing it to the repair depot they said they would give me a replacement. When checking the order status of the replacement they were going to give me a T2300e instead of a T2300. I talked to the supervisor and they imeediately helped me and cancelled the order. As a result of me waiting nearly two weeks the supervisor upgraded my processor to T5600 and a truelife screen. So that is my experience with dell and in my opinion I think that waiting two weeks for a new computer and paying only 570 for a computer is good.

I agree, they certainly seem to be doing a good job. That's a real score on getting that level of free upgrades!

I recently had my LCD go bad and it took a grand total of four days to get my e1405 couriered by DHL to the repair center, for them to replace my faulty LCD (and give me a MUCH better one with truelife), and get it back to me. All free of charge. And I still only paid $507 for the thing.

I'm pretty happy with Dell's service.

    DHL is a nightmare.

UPS had my laptop here at 10am.

DHL had my external drives here the next day at 10am. Same shipping.

They have done other bad things as well. I scheduled a pick-up and they never showed up. I had to drive the thing to DHL myself after 2 days.

Good to hear Dell in general is starting to step up. They have put them self in some hot water and put a fork in their reputation over their service the last couple/few years.

DHL is really hit or miss, from my other dealings. If you pay for the overnight you seem to have a better experience with them =).

I will say though my first DHL driver (the pickup) really manhandled my laptop getting it into the shipping box and nearly dropped the thing (unpackaged) at least three times! I know they're in a hurry but... jeesh.

well I found out that talking to dell in the chat is much better. Also if you ask to speak to a supervisor you can get things accomplished much faster

Dell chat is the ONLY way to contact Dell.

Also, use google and the Dell forums to research your issue beforehand if you can.

When my motherboard was failing on my Inspiron 5150, I researched it and it was widespread. When I got on chat I was armed with details, symptoms, and knew what the problem was and steered the chat in that direction from the get go.
