Haha, this thing is awesome, I can't explain my shear of excitement.
Now I have a couple of questions to begin with...
How do I activate the ATi AVIVO thingy (I am using OmegaDrivers though.)?
Is there a way to get Cyberlink DVD without paying for it? I mean it was with the laptop loaded but I instantly threw in the XP Reinstall CD to save my self time and hassle instead of uninstalling all the garbage.
I heard you can ask Dell for software CD's, what software can they provide for free?

yup its the dvd player for dell computers since xp doesn't have built in dvd codecs. just call up dell and ask for the cyberlink dvd software and the sonic recordnow if they didnt give you that either.
-
Is there a driver somewhere for the LCD panel? I know it's a Samsung looking at the order list.
-
I don't think you need a driver for the monitor unless you ordered an external one too. Search the formatting thread, I beleive SG clarifies it in there. Good luck with the reformat!

Hmm, I installed the Sigmatel Audio drivers and I have yet to see any special software to have some kind of control over the sounds, etc.
Also installed the Creative Audigy Software on Dell's site, nothing from that either.
Anyone get any program to control their audio hardware? -
erm you know the xp reinstall cd is clean from bloatware dont you? lol

lol . -
I think u misunderstood my post, I said I threw the CD IN, which means I didn't even bother checking out the laptop before formatting it with the CD.
