This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     My Inspiron 9400 BIOS update file won't delete fom the desktop

    Today I successfully upgraded my Inspiron 9400's BIOS to A01 :D but now the update file won't delete from my desktop. I tried rebooting but that did't help. Any ideas about which program is holding down the file?

    P.S. I have Norton Antivirus, Windows Desktop Search and the default processes running in the background.

    Try booting up in safe mode and deleting it.
