    My Inspiron E1705 forgets me!!

    Lately the system boots with no profile. I have to do a system restore to get back to normal. Is there a motherboard battery on these machines? It's what I would suspect on a desktop but can't find any reference to it.

    I'm pretty sure the E1705 has a motherboard battery. Take off your bottom panel, odds are it will be visible without any disassembly.
