I have a Dell Inspiron 5150. I think the screen is broken. I can only see it on for 1 or 2 sec. I can still hook up a desktop moniter(just bought LG from futureshop) but is there a way to fix this? how much does it cost to replace laptop moniter? I live in Vancouver , Canada

i cant bring my laptop and use it outside :(

by the way i have the 1600 X 1200 one. I get used to the high resolution and i am not confortable with the current one i have, although this LG LCD is 19 inches(way bigger) but the max resolution is only 1280 X 1024

Looks like it has faulty connection.

When does the screen turn on, randomly? Or when booting up?

no i am sure the moniter is finished, it turns on for 1 second when i power up the laptop or when i wake up from suspense. i never move the lid so it is not something about the wiring,,

my laptop has been on almost 24/7 for the past 3 years

    it doesnt work

the screen went black one day all of the sudden when i finish playing a game

then when i restart i can only see the boot up screen then went black

then reboot, then it went black in like 5 sec

    next reboot, 1 sec

    ....

i plug in the desktop moniter and works fine, so its not video card problem

    it is the laptop moniter
