is there a material difference in Intel Integ Graphics Media Accel 3000
    versus the Accelerator 3100?

thought i went w/the 3100 but just discovered they put a 3000 card in.

    should i be concerned?

(bottom line i wished i'd have upgraded to the navia (sp?) card originally.)

Well, if your notebook had the X3000, then you should call CNN since that would be news for the whole industry... :p

Bottom line: You have the X3100. Period.

The X3000 is the desktop version of the IGP.

Its an integrated graphics chip, so they couldn't have just "put the wrong one in", per say. Maybe you have X3000 drivers or something? Eitherway, the X3000 and X3100 are fundamentally the same, I think, except for the fact that the X3100 is the notebook version, whereas the X3000 is for desktops.

Vivek and Greg, many thanks. I was reading a spec sheet from Dell
describing what was on my M1330 and read "3000....graphics card..."

    probably was just a typo.

But, thanks very much for answering my question.

    regards, Mt9
