Hopefully, i could get it by 24th.
the whole process is a bit frustrating.
First, my friend ordered one, luckily, his arrived at 9th, the last day the 15% discount voucher was working.
After seeing his really machine, i changed my mind from IBM T61p to m1530, considering how difficult it would be if i want to buy similar configuration of T61p at similar price from USA.
Then i placed my order at 9th, as,
T9300/3gb/320gb/wuxga 1920*1200/vista home premium.
After a bit more research, I figured out it would be really difficult to reinstall the windows system, if i want to upgrade to vista ultimate.
then i tried to contact DELL to revise the configuration from home premium to ultimate. But they cannot do that for me, unless i canceled the order and place a new one, without getting any extra discount besides the one available on internet.
looks like there's nothing i could do then.
the status was "prepared for xxxx" for arround 10 days, and suddenly changed to "be built" last saturday, and finally shipped last night.
a few questions:
how much would it cost if i wanna extend my service from basic 1 yr to 3 yrs?
how can i make the screen less shining? are there anything like screen film available to make it a bit like the one for business usage?
Thanks. and good luck to ur laptop!

I hate waiting. Delivery between 8am and 6pm today and it's killing me! Anyone else getting or received theirs today? I'm in the UK

i've got it in the morning.
quite unsastified with it!
no film covering the palm area.
there are HAIRS embedded in the frame of the screen. It took me ages to get them out.
there are scratches on the keyboard!
There is a bad spot on the screen.
considering its uwxga, not that unbarable. -
Unlucky mate. I didn't have film covering my palmrest either but I'm not bothered, everything was perfect. Even got an LG screen! And a Teac DVD-drive which is very quiet
