My New Dell Inspiron 1564 Ci3 Screen got Cracked.
It used to get badly heated in a very short period of time.
The mouse pad would get heated up very fast with half to 1 hour of use.
I think the heat has cracked up the screen now.
I just Bought it 5 months back in July.
Wat shud i do ?
    Please advice me ?
    Thanks.

    no nobody dropped it.
it was kept on the bed.
it would get heated up very fast.
touching the mouse pad was like touching a heated steel plate.
it would get burning hot very fast.
Do u think Dell will replace it?

Dell should replace it, but I don't think they will. Like DexterM mentioned, the Dell tech will most likely assume that you cracked the screen. You should still try to convince them, though, because if that is what happened, then that is what happened and it's definitely something warranty should cover.

You wonder y, i kept it on the bed?
or u wonder , y it wud get hot ?

    Neways... for the second case...

i think the new Dell Inspiron & Dell Studio(as far as i hav heard)
    has overheating problems....

lots of people hav the same problem, i guess...
    check here...
    Google

    nonetheless..
    according to me...

the heat dissipation is not taking place properly...
which is causing the laptop to overheat..

i guess a few others hav also developed crack in screens mysteriously
    like mine...

i saw this page while i was searching..

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/dell-inspiron-dell-studio/338312-new-dell-inspirion-1525-lcd-screen-cracked.html

i have no idea, what to do?
    Please advice.
    Thanks.

You're exactly right, placing you laptop on a bed does not allow the fan to intake any air, as the fan intake is located on the bottom of most laptops. Also using it on a bed doesn't allow for passive cooling as its deep in a comforter.

The laptops aren't the problem its where use them.

It's really your fault its overheating and the screen is cracking, LAPTOPS ARE NOT MEANT TO BE USED ON BEDS.
