I'm new to this Benchmark program so I'm not exactly sure what to do but I pretty much just hit start and it did its thing and I ended up with 3,498 Marks.

I will be getting 7200RPM HD soon. What impact will that have on my Benchmark score?

    Should It be higher?

    Thank you!

Assuming it's an 8600m GT and 3DMark is just reporting it wrong, that's a standard score.

HDD will not help with 3DMark.

3DMark06 is a GPU/CPU benchmarking tool -ignore it. Higher capacity 5400 RPM drives perform on par with 7200 RPM drives - save some dough.

Yeah...it all depends on graphics and CPU...considering that you have a decent CPU...your graphics is the bottleneck here...

if you want some added performance...overclock perhaps?

100 points is within the error range of 3DMark.

Are your software performance settings identical too? The ones in the NV Control Panel?
