LOL...
I ordered on Monday 8/27.
Based on a few of Flamenko's great posts about getting something back from Dell..I figured I'd use the chat to connect to a CSR and gently push them a little bit.... Mind you, my status has been "In production" since Monday.
Here's what happened:
Agent (Santosh ): "Thank you for being online. We had a technical issue with an internal tool which resulted in customers not getting an estimated ship date for their orders. I understand that this may pose some inconvenience to you, however, let me assure you that we have now rectified the issue and we will be sending you an email with the correct estimated ship date for your order.
Bingo, I've been waiting only 2 days and I already got free shipping..let's see what else I can do..lol
I don't want to push him too hard..afterall..I'm only waiting 2 days...I figured I'll wait until tomorrow and if its not shipped yet, then I'll just push for some money back or a battery.
But I just checked the site, and it's saying:
Shipping Method: Next Business Day
Shipped Date: 8/29/2007
Est. Delivery Date: 9/3/2007-9/5/2007
Wait a second..next day delivery..wouldn't that be...8/30??? LOL
Go figure..I'll just cross my fingers and keep checking![]()

its not actually next business day from what ive heard, its acutally urgency post which takes between 1-6 days. Pushing for money after 3 days is damn well cheeky but from the mess Dell seems to be in and how disorgansied i wouldnt be suprised if you got something.

I would have even tried to get an upgrade on the battery...or the warranty..
Anything would have been fine -
Its kinda like a game is it odd that it gives you a kinda buzz and it actually makes buying from Dell a hell of alot more fun than buying from ****ty PC World. Maybe that Dell's USP making you feel like your getting a kick as deal.
My Vostro is on it's way...I THINK???!?
