    That being said, I'M SO JEALOUS. Don't get me wrong, I love my laptop, but its just so cool!

    Dell Inspiron 1720
    Intel T7300
    1920x1200 :)
    2GB RAM
    8400M GS
    200GB HDD
    Vista Business

    This thing is beautiful, although i must admit its a brick. Heavy, yet very sturdy, I like this much better than the "bumper" look. It's very sleek and very silvery. I hope my bro has fun...

    In any case, has anyone had problems with their 1720 out of the box?

    Yeh, its an awesome machine. I have mine for about 1 month now. I don't have any complaint that is big enough to mention for now. ;)

    mine has a slow processor when on battery.it took 10 minutes to load a page!.so i am getting a new one.

    if dell would release some new coupons i would just cancel the 1520 and get a 1720 the 1720/1700 are not plauged by the bad screens it seems

    Unfortunately my dad payed for it, he won't be doing any hardcore gaming, hes fine with low settings on games as long as its smooth.
