I posted this in the "found my dell's limits" thread. But it gives a good idea on how you really don't NEED a powerhouse notebook to create, work, and get stuff done. Gaming is a different ball of thread, but anything else....you can do great things with the cheaper stuff!

So, This past week with my dell, I edited and finished a video in resolve, created some new graphics for our clothing company in affinity designer, edited photos in affinity photo, edited and created some website pages for our websites and started writing for my blog and a book. I cannot complain at all about this computer. For someone who does not game and am not under time constraints like a editor in a studio etc, I recommend this machine. The screen is bright when maxed out and is clear.

I am soon going to be creating some more content for some new YouTube channels I am working on. I love this device. It works great, and for me, it's money well spent and money not spent well!

Yes I agree I love my little 13" Dell also. Being used to gaming notebooks id decided to give the Dell a shot. I also just do business with no gaming. I think what has changed is we now have SSD, the hard drives have been holding us back for quite a few years. CPU pretty much peaked out a 2.5 GHz, yea they will turbo up to 4 or maybe even better but we never really needed this and they peaked out maybe what 10 years ago. But these NVME SSD even the SATA SSD have changed our lives. they all boot up in 20 seconds or so more or less. 5 years ago we were lucky to get to our desktops in 2 or 3 minutes.
So maybe we don't need Leading-edge technology that Gaming notebook gave us anymore?

Nope. My wife has the Dell inspiron 11 3000 3168 2 in 1. She is working at home as well. Her computer is working great too. Core i3, 4gb of ram 512 gb ssd. I have a hp 23" ips monitor for her and she is loving working from home too. We don't need insane machines. I am hoping to get my son a Dell gaming laptop to use vr/Ar headset to learn some new stuff with. He's using an acer s3 now and it's going great for him. All this you need this 2000 dollar machine to do that is a load of crap.

I have been thinking about alot lately. I am extremely happy with my setup now. I have everything I need to create anything I may need for my future clients. I have a comfortable office, some great equipment and some awesome ideas and vision. Now, since we are home bound for the next few months with the covid crisis, I can get a head start on working on my new business for when the province gets back to normal. I am excited for the future for my family. I want a somewhat nomadic business and lifestyle. I can work remotely for the most part. That way I can be anywhere and get some work accomplished. Thanks to my cheapie dell computers.

Been playing games for the past few hours. Asphalt and a few others like that. The little dell does fine with that! I am impressed.
