FYI, this happened today. I listed my new inspiron 6000 on eBay last Wed. Unfortunately, I received an eBay email saying I may have infringed the property right reported by Dell. In the email, they gave me Dell's respective entity monitoring this matter, so I decided to email an inquiry to them.

Here is some useful link I found from eBay: http://www.channeladvisor.com/merchants/dell/logo.htm. Here is some noted quote from their policy:

... Dell does not authorize anyone else to sell new Dell products on eBay. If you do so, you are most likely violating the terms and conditions you agreed to when you purchased the product from Dell, or violating other agreements you have entered into with Dell ...

Therefore, be careful when you selling Dell's stuff online!

I'm not sure how you purchased your laptop but when I purchased my 700m from Dell online, during checkout it will ask you if you are purchasing for resale. Maybe you listed information that allowed Dell to determine that when you purchased it, you told them it was not intended for resale and now you're reselling it. And they have that info. in their system and can track it somehow. I know when they emailed me my configuration, it listed the parts # and detail and one of the items said "not intended for resale". I don't know. Otherwise, I don't know why they would even ask that at all?

Wow, this is huge if they start cracking down on all the people using cheap coupons then turning the units on eBay. I'm sure some people make a living out of this.

Maybe, but eBya makes a fortune off of people who buy on eBay because they perceive it to be a better deal, regarless of the facts.

+ some people are ignorant to coupons and when a bidding war erupts sometimes people bid things up to an irrational price (if the seller is so lucky)
