    Finally got my first laptop, and i know the specs anit the best compare to some other people but i just want something that i can use at college and my job since i have a great computer at home. The specs on my first laptop:
    Inspiron E1505
    Intel® Core™ Solo processor T1300 (2MB Cache/1.66GHz/667MHz FSB)
    512MB Shared Single Channel DDR2 SDRAM 533MHZ, 1 DIMM
    15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA Display
    60GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive
    Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950
    Battery
    With discounts, i got this laptop for $714.19.
    This is also my first time using XP MCE since im soo used to XP Pro

    My computer at home is a 2ghz AMD with 1gb of ram and ASUS video.

    not bad for light usage =) I think you could have got in that ballpark with a duo processor though. But again, you're not doing any that is too intensive.

    I am not understanding you clearly. Are you asking us if this computer is ok for what you need or are you replacing the 1505 for something else. If you are asking if this rig will do, the answer is yes and then some. This should last until graduation unless you drop it, spill beer on it, step on it while drunk or don't get riddled with viruses from trading software.

    I was thinking about that, but that was 100 dollars plus i also heard thae duo slighty drain more battery power and i also dont need it for light use

    it wont ship till around the 23 and they are already in the processing of my credit card...that is fast since most of the time, it takes days for pending transactions to apper on my account

    hope you bought the 9 cell then if you're so concerned about battery life. The 6 cel is somewhat useless.
