I got my dell inspiron 1501 last xmas and until then didnt have much idea as to how fast 1gb ram or 256mb gfx would perform...especially on a laptop.it wasnt until my more experienced friend pointed out that it was running on what seemed to be 512mb ram and 64mb gfx.he was almost right.instead of usin the full 1gb it was using 512mb which the gfx card using its hypermemory took anything between 16-256mb from which really slowed things down.By march i had done everything i could think of.re-installing drivers, the bios and even tryed omega drivers.checked on forums for sollutions but none worked.now to add to my problems ati2dvag.dll is causing my gfx card & sometimes the entire pc to crash randomely, mostly in games though.i only have a rough idea how to solve all these probems.i would really appreciate any input from anyone as im at breaking point now.
